Record the advertised price
Scan the barcode and enter the shelf price, by typing it or snapping the tag. Check the quantity and record the deals that apply to your purchase.
Arrive knowing what to pay
The app adds up the items and works out the deals you recorded. Before you reach the register, you already know the total you expect from the prices you saw in the store.
Compare before you pay
When the cashier finishes scanning and applies the savings, compare the total with the app. Match? Done. If there is a difference, ask them to check. With the receipt in hand, snap a photo to help find where the amounts differ.

Installing on Android
Until we reach Google Play, installation is direct.
Download the beta from the official site and follow the prompts on your phone. Installation time depends on your device and connection.
- Tap Download APK on your Android phone and wait for the download.
- Open the file. If Android asks, allow your browser to install unknown apps.
- If a security warning appears, read it before continuing. If it is blocked or you are unsure, contact our support.
- Open Totalyze, create your account and do your first checked shopping trip.
FAQ
Common questions
Do I need to photograph the receipt every time?
No. The first check is the total: compare the register amount, after savings, with the total of the prices and deals you recorded in the app. If they match, you're done. If there is a difference, the receipt photo is one way to investigate the items.
What about sales tax?
Compare the subtotal before tax, or the total if your store shows tax-inclusive prices. The app total is built from the shelf prices you recorded.
Does it work on iPhone?
Not yet. The iPhone version is on its way to the App Store. The APK on this page is for Android only.
Why does Android say the app is unknown?
Because it isn't on Google Play yet. Android may ask for an extra permission to install an APK file. Always download it from this page, at totalyze.app.
Do I need internet in the store?
Yes. The app looks products up in our database, and receipt checking runs on our servers.
What happens to my data?
Your trips and prices stay in your account and build your history. We don't sell your data. Receipt photos are used only to perform the check.
